BILLING FOR WHAT!?!
I reported a fault and was told it was user fault and was billed R450 for it, which I paid. The said fault was not fixed by the technician and another was sent after I called and informed them. Again, I was billed another R450, only to be told that the decoder was faulty. How is that my fault? And what warranty does this company actually have? It is obvious to me that the problem from the outset was the \faulty"decoder"

Thank you for raising your complaint on hellopeter;
Our records confirms the following sequence of events;
1. Your decoders could not be activated on the initial day of installation in lieu of your account with Multichoice being in arrears;
2. R450 was charged on 1st service call to assist in activating your decoders;
3. R450 was charged on 2nd service call in lieu of the technician establishing that the cables were tampered with & swapped incorrectly at the back of your decoder;
4. On the 3rd service call, it was identified that your TV links were no longer working in lieu of a defective 4U decoder. This decoder was working on the initial installation & on the 1st & 2nd service calls therefore it was not diagnosed as defective;
5. I contacted you on 3 July 2015 to send out a senior technician to attend to your complaint & you refused further support from us, confirming that you will use another installer to attend to your DSTV. You were informed that you would loose your component warranty with us & you accepted this.
We regret losing your as a customer. A R450 refund will be made to you for the 1st service call.
Kind Regards
