STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM BLIND ANT
So happy to see there is a HP page for this as I need as many people as possible to see this so what happened to me does not happen to someone else.
Reviews below. _________________________________________ DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE.
I had a slightly scratched Nintendo 3DS screen and after some mails, they offered to swap my 3DS's top half with one they had there. I happily agreed and waited a month.
When I finally heard back, they gave me the console, already wrapped, I ask them to open it so that I can test, immediately I see the touch screen is non-responsive, the issue was not even with the bottom half. After some more waiting they finally returned the 3DS and I took off.
When I got home, and properly opened the games on the console, I saw that the 'new' screen they replaced my slightly scratched one with, was in much worse condition, and demanding a much more expensive repair than what was initially necessary.
When I contacted Blind Ant about that, all they had to say was that I paid for the labour, not for the screen, and that in the process of replacing the top half, they had to throw my old screen away. From what I read of this process, you would need to be really unintelligent to necessitate that the leftover part needing to be thrown away. Or maybe they are just plain lying.
Add all this to being extremely unprofessional and ridiculous lead times, that's Blind Ant.
Stay far away, and rather go anywhere else, such as Delta 5. __________________________________________________ Their snarky response
Thank you for your feedback. We are not going to comment on your feelings, opinions and assumptions, that's you property right.
The 2 facts at hand stand that : 1 - you personally inspected the 2nd hand screen to your spesification and color scheme. 2 - after going out of our way to help you, you see it best to try and shame our efforts. The more effort gets we put into helping out of market clients the more backlash in stead of appreciation we get. It's now official Blind Ant will not help Nintendo clients anymore. We are struggling to get OLD GEN parts....Thank you Pieter, for help us realize the to help struggling Nintendo clients is just not worth it. Regards.

If i could give you 0 i would but i cant, so it's a 1. Do not use this company. After assuring us that they COULD help with a 3DS repair, you made more damage than actually doing your job. The issue was a slightly scratched top screen, and afterwards, the ISSUES are a worse condition top screen and a broken flex cable that gives the touch screen its touchscreenness. Fair enough, you said you MIGHT be able to help. Then proceeded to "help". First you wrapped the machine when we got there to pick it up the first time. Trying to hide something?.YES IT SEEMS. Touch screen was not responsive from the first "repair". And as far as I'm aware that wasnt why we're there? Second time around, touch screen still unresponsive, top screen is worse. In the beginning of the entire situation, you said that you would swop the screen from your console to ours, but afterwards that you had to throw our screen away because it broke? You failed to show us if the screen you had was in working condition, assuring us it is, so we trusted you. And btw, showing an OFF console doesnt count as showing the screen, because your screen has a dead pixel which we would've said no to had we known in the first place. . Also, turns out the reason our touchscreen is unresponsive, is the flex cable was BENT AND FOLDED and then closed up. Now, that doesnt happen by itself. The jostick connector on the motherboard was also destroyed, the wifi cable was PINNED in the casing so it also got damaged. Have you never heard of looping ribbon cables, not bending them?! Your email responses are **** and then you have the audacity to say on a review that it's "opinions and feelings". To attend to your assumptions and feelings: It took me 1 week to find all the needed parts to completely repair the top screen. The repair was done in 1 evening by an ex-nintendo employee. The flex cable that was bent and broken could be seen as soon as the console was opened, so please , draw your own conclusions from that and explain how it wasn't fixed the second time, and why it was bent in the first place? The same way a new gen console player wants their stuff to be looked after, so do the old gen console players, even more so because of how ******* expensive their hardware is in todays climate. Thank YOU for showing us we can't trust so called repair companies and for showing that if you want something done, it's definitely better to do it yourself. Oh and please, try to phone me, i will glady take this further.

Stay as far away as possible and be sure to let as many people know as possible how terrible this pathetic excuse for a company is.
