Unfortunately do not pay on time

The experience I had with Blazing Auto was, unfortunately, a very negative one which I would not wish on other people. The owners are not good at managing the cash flow of their business, and this bleeds over to blatant disregard for the payment terms they have agreed with their customers. If you depend on the cash you expect to get from selling your car, I would recommend you stay away.

The sales team contacted me via an ad I had posted on GumTree to sell my car. They offered me a reasonable price (less than I wanted [and what other cars were trading for online] but higher than trade value) and explained that they would be paying in three instalments. A ~10% deposit was paid up front and the remaining ~90% was to be paid out in three equal instalments.

NONE of the three instalments arrived on time – in fact they were several weeks late. For every single one of them, I had to call Lisa (the owner) to remind her to pay me. Each time, I was told they were having cash flow issues and that I would get my money soon. The excuses persisted and the delays kept getting progressively longer. In the end, I indicated that I would be contacting a debt collector and only then did I receive my money.

This was a disappointing and frustrating experience, and the only thing that kept me from complete despair (fearing that I had been ****med) was how nicely both Lisa and her team continued to communicate with me. They seem like a nice team, who want to do well, but struggle to manage their cash flow.
