Blackview: Substandard products and false advertising

Bought a Blackview 9500pro phone from Blackview South Africa during June 2019 with a one year guarantee.This is already substandard as other cellular brands offer 2year guarantees on their phones! This phone has been having charging issues from day 1. Blackview, on an enquiry suggested I switch off the phone before trying to charge, which should have sounded the alarm bells for me already! Subsequent charges continued to take longer and longer. Sometimes up to 14 hours, whereafter it just refused to charge at all. Remember this model phone is advertised to fully charge in just 2.5 hours! I can vouch that I never had my phone come even close to such a quick charge! Two returns to Blackview South Africa for repairs for the same problem later and now I am required to pay for the repairs as apparently now the problem now is water damage! Hogwash!!! Perhaps Blackview should take the time view all the reviews of this phone where very many users worldwide are complaining about charging issues with this model phone. Besides, this is a RUGGED phone which is shown in several Youtube videos to be able to withstand total water submersion and supposedly has an IP68 water resistance rating. Blackview South Africa is trying to offset their repair losses by milking their customers for more money which I am refusing to do. Potential Blackview customers are advised to steer clear of this brand of phone and in so doing avoiding much frustration. Please take some time to Google other Blackview reviews on the Hellopeter website before purchasing. My honest suggestion is to rather stick to well known brandname phones.
