***** manager with pathetic customer service

Booked a night through trivago for 2x adults and 2x kids and this lodge came up with multiple listings so selected the cheapest option through booking.com which showed a total cost of R475.00...con6firmed the booking and received my confirmation which then showed max number of guest as 1! I immediately called the lodge to query this as the confirmation stated that all queries and cancellations can be taken up directly with the lodge. I spoke to the lady who also took heed and agreed to what the problem was and said she would get back to me. Sunday went through and no one contacted me right up and until monday late morning when i called them back. This time i was told by the front desk lady that the manager could only solve this issue and that he would call me shortly. Days went on but no one ever called me and i ended up calling every day right up until today (Wednesday ) when i called again and atlast was able to speak to the manager. Unfortunately he was really unapologetic, very unprofessional and totally useless in his approach and in solving the matter only to tell me, after wasting all my time and calls the entire week, that i have to contact booking.com to get this matter resolved as he refused to refund me or resolve the matter to something that wasn't even my fault in the first place. Wouldn't do business with a company like this that has such an arrogant and useless manager really disappointed by his pathetic service!my account has been debited with the amount and he refuses to refund or even attempt to try and resolve the problem doesn't even give you a chance to speak so guess who's at fault hey!
