Stocks vs Forex: It's a matter of habit

I used to buy stocks on a whim, without really understanding what I was doing. Here, I read about the difference, stocks give you a stake in a company, while forex is just trading. I found that forex is more volatile, while stocks are more stable. I’ve settled on a mix, and my portfolio is more balanced now. I didn’t understand that before.
