Doesn't work as claimed

My wife went on a course of pills and creams and followed the instructions which claim once you have reached your desired shape carry on with a maintenance programme of a couple of months of pills and no cream. The problem is that doesn't work and she just shrank back down to her normal shape. So, the whole enterprise is just temporary.
