Old seeds

Bought a pack of 25 jack herer seeds. Only one germinated the rest didnt. My method for germinating seeds: take seeds drop them in water for a day then in a wet towel till it makes a tail then into the soil. I got hold of them and was told they going to look into it and get back to me well 2 weeks later and nothing from their side. The seeds they selling is old and the ones that does pop and grow got some weird mutations. Then there is the weird mutations aswell il give them a skip and get seeds somewhere else.
