Not professional. Not helpful. Not worth it!
Absolutely disappointing experience with Bigfish Graphics.
I came across Bigfish Graphics on Facebook and, seeing that they’ve been in the industry for 9 years, I trusted that their work would reflect that experience. Unfortunately, that was far from the case.
After paying a deposit for a website build (with a promised turnaround of 5–6 working days), I heard nothing. Only after my husband called Mthoko did things suddenly start moving. It felt as if I wasn’t being taken seriously because I’m a woman.
Once the website finally started coming together, I noticed that they uploaded content I had neither approved nor provided. I asked for a few changes, which were made. But the next day they “completed” the site and again added more unapproved content. When I mentioned that there were still some things I’d like to adjust, Mthoko’s response was, “Is it a lot? Because we need to start wrapping things up,” and he requested the final payment.
Reluctantly, I made the final payment, hoping they would still assist with the final tweaks. But after trying to fix things myself, I accidentally deleted the header (while the site was live). I asked Mthoko if he could restore it and he said yes, but only for an extra R350 — even though it was a basic logo and layout he had added.
Honestly, what did I pay for? A generic template with zero personality. If I had the time (I have a newborn), I could have done a better job myself — and in fact, I did. It took me all of two minutes to find a better template and fix the issue myself. I let Mthoko know, and all he said was, “That’s great.”
I’m extremely disappointed and feel like I wasted my hard-earned money. I do not recommend Bigfish Graphics. Not professional. Not helpful. Not worth it.
