Bad Service and Lies
I was contacted for a promotional vacation with Big Picture Vacations. <br> I booked the holiday and was not told that I couldn't re-sell it. <br> Needless to say I sold it at a small profit since I was unable to go. <br> The call centre agent deliberately **** to my face when I asked for a new guest certificate and kept me waiting for 3 days without telling me the reason for not issuing me with a new guest certificate. <br> The manager comes speaks to me on the third day after numerous emails and calls and tells me they are refunding me because I wasn't allowed to re-sell it. <br> I told her I wasn't aware that I couldn't re-sell it and she was dismissive and told me its policy and that's that.<br> Explaining to her more just made her more dismissive and made me angrier. I couldn't get hold of her for the rest of the day after that because she was constantly in a 'meeting' .I tried to get a director's number from the call centre which they wouldn't give out either. Asking when he will be in, they said they don't know since he is hardly ever there.Nor would they give me cell number.<br> Is this what client services have come to? Terrible service. make sure you ask as many questions as possible before booking!
We offer our clients a best price promise and for this reason do not allow our clients to on sell our vacations. It is the prerogative of the owner of the accommodation to decide upon the rules of use of that accommodation. Unfortunately, we have a number of accommodation "traders" who purchase from Big Picture Vacations and then sell the booking at double the price. This is not fair to the customer to whom this is sold.
Our vacation consultants do inform clients that we will only be able to deal with the guest due to check-in. We happily accept guest name changes in reasonable circumstances but insist upon dealing with the guest ourselves which is more than fair in our opinion.
For traders who wish to resell their bookings or customers looking to profit from their bookings, we recommend that you source alternate stock as Big Picture Vacations is about making accommodation affordable for everyday South Africans and is not a trading platform.
