Terrible "VIP" ticket for Guns n Roses

Hi,

I'm contacting you with regards to the wildly unsatisfactory experience associated with the Early Entry VIP Package.

There are a couple issues that I had with the experience:

1. "Priority check-in and entrance"

Upon arriving at the stadium, there were two periods of waiting that should not have occurred. When the tickets were initially scanned and armbands were handed out, I had to hang around there for more than ten minutes while they were trying to get someone to come through and "fix the laptops because we don't own them". Once getting through that point, a bunch of us were stuck outside the turnstiles because the ticket readers were saying that the tickets had already been used, and had to stand around for more than half an hour before we were allowed into the stadium. For a normal-priced ticket I'd understand, but it is unacceptable when paying such a premium.

2. "Crowd-free merchandise shopping"

There was no "VIP only" shopping area in the stadium which would fall under this description. If one wanted to buy merchandise, the options were to stand in massive queues at the regular merchandise stand before the concert began, or leave the concert midway to stand in a marginally shorter queue. Once again, this would be acceptable for a normal ticket, but not when a premium has been paid for something that was clearly advertised and not provided.

3. "Limited edition VIP gift pack"

When compared to the VIP Gift Packs of other stops on this tour, the one we got pales in comparison. Other stops got guitar picks from the artists and high-quality art-books just to mention an item or two, while we got 3 prints, a knock-off Moleskine diary, some playing cards, and a lanyard. That is nowhere near what was expected based off the VIP packs from other tours, and not worth anything near the price difference between a Golden Circle ticket and the VIP ticket.

Based on these three points, I expect a partial refund for the ticket. The experience I got was nothing resembling VIP - if I had purchased a Golden Circle ticket I would have been satisfied with the evening (the concert itself was great). Because of that, I expect a partial refund of the difference between the cost of a VIP ticket and a Golden Circle ticket. I'd be happy for you to take the VIP Gift Bag back so there isn't any confusion about the cost of that contributing to the difference.

If I don't hear anything back by the end of Monday the 10th of December 2018, I will be contacting the Consumer Goods And Services Ombud and laying a complaint to enact the Consumer Protection Act, and will also post about this across your social media platforms.
