Never buy a VIP tickets from the Big Concerts organisers

Hi Big Concerts Team,

We are extremely disappointed to have to complain to you after spending R3.995 per ticket for a the VIP tickets for the recent Guns 'n Roses concert on the 29th of Nov 2018 at FNB Stadium, Joburg.

Not only did we pay a very high premium for these tickets, but we specifically flew to Joburg to see the band and experience the Big Concerts "VIP package" as you marketed it below: https://www.bigconcerts.co.za/events/detail/guns-n-roses

The following was falsely advertised and under the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), Act 68 of 2008, Chapter 1, part E and Chapter 2 part F which talk to "The Right To Fair and Responsible Marketing" and "The Right To Fair and Honest Dealing" respectively, I request a partial refund of both these two tickets under my name, on the following grounds:

There was no "Crowd-free merchandise shopping" as advertised. The queue was insanely long.

The early entry was literally 20 min before everyone else and didn't provide any early access as advertised by a reasonable and fair margin as advertised.

"Limited edition VIP gift pack" this gift bag is not anywhere near worth the additional R2,500 per ticket that we paid. Given points 1 and 2 are not worth anything on a monetary basis. Gift bags at other concerts on this tour included so much more and we feel that a bunch of stickers, a lanyard, a diary, and a pack of playing cards is pretty ****-poor relative to the price we've paid for this.

You have ten business days to respond, failing which I will lodge a complaint with the CPA ombud and note my experience in it's factual honesty on the various social media platforms. You will also have lost two customers for life.

Please contact me directly regarding the partial refund which I believe should be the difference between the golden circle price of R1,500 per ticket originally advertised, less the gift bag which I can't imagine costs more than R300 to R400 each. I.e. a refund of R2,100 per ticket refunded to my credit card is expected.
