Lord of the Dance mezzanine level tickets cancelled

<p>I am extremely disappointed with the service received from Big Concerts!!!</p> <p> </p> <p>My wife bought two Lord of the Dance Dangerous Games tickets through computicket for mezzanine level seats at the Grand West Arena. The tickets were bought on 7 March 2017 for R315 per ticket. However, on 29 May 2017 my wife received an email from Computicket stating that the promoter (Big Concerts) has encountered an inventory error and that the mezzanine level seats were not meant to be opened for public sale. The email informed us that we have two options:</p> <p>1. Upgrade the tickets and PAY THE DIFFERENCE. </p> <p>2. Accept a refund.</p> <p> </p> <p>It is completely ridiculous for Big Concerts to expect clients to pay for their mistake. It is not my problem that the mezzanine level was not supposed to be open for public sale. We bought the tickets based on the fact that we are willing to pay R315 per person to see the show. Big Concerts can now apparently not provide me with the agreed upon seats and now expect me to pay R110 more per seat to see the same show. This seems more like a company realising that it did not sell enough "expensive" tickets to make a profit and are now bullying clients through forcing them to pay more to see the same show. </p> <p> </p> <p>After several back and forth emails between Computicket and myself, I was informed today that I should accept a refund if I don't agree with the Big Concerts terms and conditions. </p> <p> </p> <p>Hotels, airlines etc. regularly upgrade clients FREE OF CHARGE when they double book or make a reservation error. Big Concerts should have upgraded the mezzanine level tickets free of charge. In my book nothing less is acceptable!</p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p>
