“BIG BOY” … big on SERVICE!

On the rare occasion that somebody “goes the extra mile” (or should that be ‘kilometre’ since we’ve metricated?!) they ought to be publicly thanked….so permit me to do so. Because of our outrageous petrol price I bought - privately - a small 150cc motorcycle. It will be cheap on fuel while, at the same time, provide a sense of freedom (also becoming rare lately!). But on day one I had a puncture as well as trouble with the steering “head” (I’m told it’s called). I called the bike’s agents (Big Boy S******s in Pinetown) and asked for help with this crippled bike. I didn’t expect - but was delighted to receive - unstinting help from the Manager (or owner) a genial chap named Gerrit who not only promptly arrived personally and carefully loaded the immobile machine onto his truck but within a day had sorted the wheel together with the steering problem and only charged for a badly needed basic service. I don’t wear a hat but if I did, I’d doff it to Big Boy S******s - thanks guys….you earned this commendation which I sincerely deliver. RS:
