We purchased a non-runner Land-Rover vehicle in Kwa-zulu Natal and needed the car to be transported up to Cape Town. During my search for a Transport Company I came across Big Boy Car Carriers online. The website looked impressive and it said they contracted to SMD. After a brief discussion with the owner of the company. It was decided they would pick up the vehicle on Friday 19th . They did not. After many calls and keeping the seller waiting for hours the "transport" company arrives to collect my vehicle with an old Toyota bakkie and tow rope on Saturday late afternoon the 20th. We were horrified when the Seller sent us pictures of them towing our non-running vehicle away with tow rope. We immediately called the company and Junaid the owner told us his depot was just around the corner d I'm pick up point so he thought it okay to send a smaller vehicle to tow the vehicle, not okay with us because the car had no break assist and it could have gone wrong. The owner Junaid said the vehicle would be loaded onto their truck at depot and would be on its way and should be in Cape Town by latest Thursday 25th. He also insisted that since it was loaded and is enroute we need to make payment. Which we did. Thursday became Friday still no vehicle in sight. By Friday evening we were stressed because the Owner was no longer answering our calls. We jumped in our car and decided to go search for His Business A dress which is on his website. We found the address but there was no indication that the address which is in a residential area belonged to Big Boy Car Carriers. We decided to ask neighbours and someone pointed out a house to us for a guy that owned Transport Trucks whose name was Junaid. It was a residential house 2 houses away from the supposed "Business Address".

Junaid was shocked to see us rock up at his home. When he realised who we were immediately went into defence mode making non stop excuses under the sun why he didn't answer his phone. He 1st assured us the truck was close and would arrive any minute. After he saw we were not satisfied not believed him he called his driver who said he will would be in Cape Town by Saturday the 27th 3pm, Saturday at 12:54 he claimed the truck was in Hope Town approx 8 hours away. It is Sunday the 28th at 10:23am and he claims his truck is stuck between Lainsburg and Prince Albert with a mechanical issue. Our dealings with this company and this owner Junaid have been absolutely horrific. The owner is rude and is a blatant **** and lacks any professionalism and zero customer service. Or he just doesn't answer his phone. I have never dealt with a company this bad and we have been in the Automotive Industry for many years. We lost a couple of thousand rands on time wasted booking mechanics and workers to put a new engine into the vehicle and not been able to keep our to our deadline. I will not recommend this company to anyone. If the man had and ounce of professionalism he would be updating us even with the delays to assure us the vehicle was safe and enroute. Nope we've had to phone him and beg for information and then all we get is false information and blantant lies. Please save yourself time money and unnecessary stress and do not use this company.
