Disappointing a mommy to be

<p>I had a very upsetting experience with Biekie Bos, Meyerton. This is a well-known venue in the Vaal Triangle that caters for kids and adults alike. </p> <p>I booked my stork party in November 2016 with Biekie Bos and arranged a table for 15 ladies (some would bring thier kids along for the visit). As per all previous parties I arranged at this venue, I arrange that all foods and drinks would be ordered of the menu and I just bring my own themed cake for the occasion. </p> <p>My stork party, arranged for Saturday 28 January 2017 was no different. I phone in November 2016 to book and again made the same arrangements for the food,drinks and cake. There was no concern expressed from the person that took my call and I was happy to invite my guests to the party.</p> <p>As a cuortesy, I phoned Biekie Bos on Monday, 23 January 2017 to confirm and remind them about the arrangements. The person that took the call sounded a bit confused and said the manager will phone me back later the day. Later that day the same person phoned me back to explain that I am not allowed to bring my own cake any longer. I expressed my unhappiness and was told that the manager will phone me later. That same day the manager did phone just to tell me they have no record of my booking and she would have to discuss my requests with management and get back to me. She only phoned me back on the Wednesday (3 days before the party) to inform me that unfortunately I will not be permitted to bring my own cake or decorations and have to pay a venue hire. </p> <p>Being 8 months pregnant, this sent me over the edge and I started crying. How could a venue back-track on thier agreement with a customer?</p> <p>I phoned back and asked to speak to Andre (who is the owner). I told him that I was extremely unhappy about the short notice of not being permitted anything any longer and he interrupted me. When I told him to listen to me first he told me I was rude. I told him I will go to all social media platforms about this and he put the phone down in my ear.</p> <p>It is with great sadness that I had to change my stork party venue (at such short notice) but luckily I found a great venue that will allow me to bring my own cake with my baby's name on while we order food and drinks of their menu.</p>
