Bad service and empty promises.. .they just don't care

My son passed 11 August 2021 all paperwork was done by end of August. Board of trustees didn't review our claim in September. We were promised that they will review at their next meeting in October which never happened. We were then told that their next meeting will take place in the beginning of November 2021. Our case again wasn't reviewed we were then told 6th December again nothing was reviewed or done. After numerous phone calls and pleading we were told that they will issue a letter to confirm the amount that was supposed to be paid put and that we can use that letter as guaranteed to borrow money. Again.....no letter. We were then just before Christmas told that the board of trustees meet again in January 2022. When? Nobody can answer that. I just have this feeling it will again be postponed . This is a company who does not care about the well being of those family.members left behind. They play "God" over life's of other people who already suffered the loss of a lived one. This was a terrible Christmas and new Year and I only have myself to blame because I put hope on people who clearly don't give ****.
