Disappointing change in policy

Sadly the introduction of limited early access to the Bidvest Premier Lounge leaves many unhappy. Returning from an overseas flight and then being charged to enter a Lounge to which access had previously been free through my Banking affiliation was a disappointment. The long delay was as a result of available a SAA domestic flight. The same is also a problem when living a considerable distance from a domestic airport as local flight requires early arrival and distance can be traffic delayed so it is prudent to start early. The excuse that entry time is limited in order to avoid overcrowding, as suggested, is not relevant as access can be gained if one is willing to pay. I recently viewed twelve elderly people refused early entry whilst I awaited my 7 minutes before being granted access; nine people left the lounge during this period one entered and the lounge was far from full!
