Dissatisfaction with Bidvest Premier Lounge Experience

I am writing to express my disappointment with the recent experience my son and I had at the Bidvest Premier Lounge at Cape Town International Airport this past Tuesday.

Having previously enjoyed our visits to the lounge, we were disheartened by the subpar service and amenities during our most recent visit. Despite paying R1138 for access, our experience fell significantly short of expectations. And why a child pays the same as an adult this too is unacceptable.

Firstly, upon arrival, we found limited seating available, which was quite surprising considering the fee we paid for access. Additionally, the food service was unacceptably slow. Despite ordering a portion each of food from the menu, it took over 40 minutes to arrive at our table. To make matters worse, it was a small portion and we then ordered more and subsequent food orders never made it to our table before we had to depart to catch our flight.

Furthermore, the shortage of glasses was noticeable, forcing us to reuse earlier glasses. This lack of attention to detail was not only disappointing but also concerning from a hygiene perspective. Moreover, the lounge was down to its last bottle of sparkling wine, which further contributed to our dissatisfaction.

In summary, our experience at the Bidvest Premier Lounge left us feeling hungry, disappointed, and far from satisfied with the value for money we received. The inefficiency in delivering food to tables is particularly concerning, especially considering the time constraints of an airport environment.
