Extremely poor service - lies and empty promises!

My bakkie broke down and I had it towed in to Menlyn as they were the closest. I was told that they could not assist the Monday as they were fully booked, but will look at the bakkie on Tuesday. They promised to phone me to inform me on the problems found and costs. They did not. I phoned on Tuesday and were told that they can only look at the car on Wednesday - promised, and will call me in the morning. They did not. I phoned. They told me the mechanic/technician' s mom passed and he had to attend the funeral! Promised to get someone else to look at the car. Promised to phone by 10am Thursday. They did not. I drove there again and confronted them. Lots of excuses, but promised to get someone on the lob. I asked to speak to the manager in order to get commitment. Was promised she would call in an hour or two. She did not. I realized they were stalling and I needed the car by the next Wednesday! Got someone else to go pick up the car to work on it. Warned Menlyn that this was happening and the promised to have the bakkie ready for collection. They did not. Told the pickup that the car was parked in by two cars for which they had no keys! This cost me R1350! The next morning after I threw my toys out the cot, did they move these cars and I could remove my bakkie from their premises! Within an hour the East Auto guys fixed the problem! Same day!
