Worst Experience

Purchased a brand new Fortuner 2.4 GD6 - 2024 in Feb 2024, after a month called in to Toyota Ballito explaining there is a loud sound from the driver side sounds as if the window is open slightly when u are driving. Took the vehicle in the first time they told me they had to change the rubber on the door, i had to wait for them to order the rubber then took the vehicle in again had to change the rubber got the vehicle back still had the same loud noise. Phoned Toyota Ballito again a month later i was asked to bring it back and leave it for the day, then was told it might be the tint i found that very odd and disputed it couldn’t be the tint. By this time my vehicle is now a going for its first service in Feb 2025 with 7500km, so i asked them to please sort out the noise during the time its booked in for service. I then go in to pick my vehicle they tell me they couldn’t sort it out i must bring it in again so that they can check all the panels i also told them my gearbox also doesn’t sound right. They tested the gearbox and asked me to bring the vehicle again so they can sort out the all the problems once and for all. Took in the vehicle for 3 days on the 1st April 2025. Went to collect the vehicle on the 4th April i was told that the gearbox was fixed it was a diagnostic issue so they managed to sort it out but with regards to the noise at the driver’s side they are still unsure where it is coming from even though the vehicle is brand new. Then I was told they need to change the rubber on the windscreen and the top railing but they need to order the parts which will take a week or two. When I called Kieran on the 16th April, he asked me to bring the vehicle in on the 23rd April, I agreed and received confirmation on my WhatsApp that the vehicle has been booked in and I was advised it would take half a day. I then go in on the 23rd early morning to drop of the vehicle, I enquired with Kieran as to when I can collect or how long will it be? I was advised it will take around half a day to sort out, I went back at 4.30pm to collect the vehicle so that they have enough time to complete the vehicle. I go in to pick up my vehicle at 4.30pm and they hadn’t even done anything on the vehicle, I waited another 45mins for the vehicle I was told that they put on the rubber for the windscreen but they didn’t changed the top railing I then asked him why NOT, extremely frustrated at this time he advised they needed to take off the roof lining which takes time. Then then proceeded to tell me they squeezed me in for this booking which ****ed me off even more since I made this booking 2 weeks ago, He apologised for saying that and asked if I can bring in the vehicle again next week. This is ridiculous by now I am so over all this nonsense advised I’m not prepared to have the roof lining removed and replaced on a brand-new vehicle which is only doing 9800km. It seems like the technicians at Toyota Ballito lack the proper knowledge on diagnostics and need to be trained correctly. If you ever want to consider whether or not to purchase a Toyota especially from Ballito save yourself the trouble and don’t waste your hard earned money.
