Unprofessional Service – Hidden Price Change

am very disappointed with the service I received from Bidvest McCarthy Toyota. The car I was interested in was advertised at a lower price, but when it came to signing the contract, the price was suddenly higher. At no stage was this change communicated to me. When I raised the issue, they acknowledged it and called it an “honest mistake.”

For a dealership of this size, transparency and honesty should be the foundation of their service. A price increase without informing the customer is not just a mistake it’s misleading and creates a sense of mistrust. Customers deserve clarity before making such an important financial decision. This experience has left me questioning their professionalism and whether customer interests are truly respected.

Reviewer Update
Do we really have to write public reviews just to get proper assistance?

I cancelled my warranty policy 15 days ago, and to date, the payment has still not been made to the bank (ABSA). I've been given conflicting information — first, I was told the dealer (Bidvest Toyota McCarthy) is waiting for final documents from the insurance company. However, the insurer has confirmed that everything has been sent and even shared proof that the finalisation email was already sent to the dealer.
Despite this, there’s been no progress, no payment, and no proper feedback.

This delay is unacceptable. All parties claim the issue lies elsewhere, and in the meantime, I am left to follow up repeatedly with no resolution.
Very disappointed with the lack of urgency and accountability.
