Expired Service Plan on new purchase

My experience at Toyota McCarthy was not pleasant at all. I bought a pre-owned car at their Kindsmead branch in Durban in April. I believed I would get a great and memorable experience but this was not the case. I bought the car though the assistance of one their sales lady whom I thought gave me sound and just advice when it came to the car and the sale. She advised me on what addons to get for the car and what not to get, she told me not to get extended service plan for the car because it still had an active plan, I will be able to see ice my car come servicing time. Her advice sounded just and fair so I believed the work she put in. Problem showed when I tried to get the car serviced. I went to the nearest Toyota servicing station, as per her advice, and to my surprise when I got there they tell me the car does not have an active service plan. I don't know how to describe the feeling after hearing that. I asked her about it but she alluded me and would not be forthcoming about everything, I had to force myself to her with my questions. She then came to me as not remembering what she told me. I tell her what happened and her advice to me - when the purchase was being made. I felt ****** because she revealed to me later the car's service plan expired in May. I bought the car I April, service was then due in June, how was I not given the opportunity or option to choose whether I'm purchasing the vehicle with this hanging over it? I reached out to Toyota via social media to try and have this matter looked into. I did receive assistance though one of their representatives who secured a meeting with the manager at Kingsmead. We sat down and I explained my experience to him, he told me he'd investigate and come back to me with a solution. That was more than 3 months ago, I'm still waiting... As a first time car buyer, I believed to be given a good deal by Toyota because as a pre-owned vehicle, I understand it's not brand new car but transparency should be imperative because it's not easy to be paying for a car for 5/6 years and you don't get your money's worth. To say the least, I am very disappointed by the service and experience I received at and with Toyota.
