Defective workmanship on service

I took my vehicle for a 60 000km service at Bidvest Mccarthy Toyota in woodmead drove my vehicle home and parked it until Saturday that's when the vehicle started shaking when driving I then went straight home to park the car , I called toyota woodmead on Monday and the service consultant advised that I have to arrange for the vehicle to be towed to them which I refused because I never experienced problems with the vehicle prior to taking it in for service, on Tuesday she advised that the the service manager and technician will come assess the vehicle and when they arrived they assessed the vehicle and advised that the issue is with the spark plugs however they were not carrying any tools with them, the manager advised that he will send the technician back on Wednesday to replace the spark plugs, Wednesday morning the technician and the manager came to replace the spark plug they replaced the spark plug and did not test the vehicle to confirm if the issue has been resolved and they seemed In a hurry, I drove the vehicle after they left and confirmed that the issue is not resolved then I called the service consultant and advised her but she advised me that I will have to pay for the parts and labor fees, I am really frustrated with the service I received from Toyota woodmead

Dear Thapelo,

Thank you for bringing your concern to our attention. We understand your frustration and would like to clarify the situation.

You brought your vehicle to our service center for a standard 60000 km service (despite your vehicle being booked in at 69000 km.)
Afterward you reported a misfire, and you were advised to bring your vehicle back to the service center; however, you declined to do so.

Our service manager and technician agreed to inspect your vehicle at your residence, which is approximately 70 km from our dealership, to identify the possible issue.
It was noted that one of the spark plugs was dead, and it was replaced the next day.
Despite this, you mentioned that the car was still misfiring, leading us to send our technician again to replace all the spark plugs.

As per our servicing specifications, spark plugs are replaced every 45000 km, and this replacement was not included in your service.
Please note that the spark plugs are chargeable because they are considered an additional consumable that was not part of your original service.

We did our best to accommodate you as much as possible.
We apologise for your continued dissatisfaction and appreciate your feedback.
We are committed to improving our service to prevent any future misunderstandings.

If you have any further issues, please don’t hesitate to contact the dealership at ***.

Best regards,
Bidvest McCarthy Toyota
