DEFECTIVE TOYOTA COROLLA CROSS AND POOR SERVICE FROM TOYOTA

I bought a brand new Toyota Corolla Cross on 30 January 2024 at Hatfield Bidvest Mccarthy and on friday the 22nd of March I parked at a ba*****t parking in Pretoria for almost 3 hours and when i tried to accelerate the car would not budge. I tried everything I could changed the gear to reverse, park, neutral and whenever I put in drive it went backwards. I called Toyota for roadside assistance since the vehicle is under warranty and they took it to the nearest dealership, which is Arcadia, McCarthy. I requested that they at least provide me with a courtesy car since I have no way to get around and I had a planned trip since the 24th of March was my birthday but I could not be assisted. on Monday, the 25 of March I received an SMS that my car was booked in and given a service advisor but I always have to call to get an update and I was told that yesterday it was taken to a gearbox specialist because it has a gearbox problem, mind you this is a brand new car. we are approaching easter and I cannot travel without a vehicle and i tried to call the head office in Sandton but I'm transferred to Customer Services but no one answers until the line dies. I'm extremely disappointed with Toyota and A BRAND NEW CAR MUST PROVIDE SECURITY and their service is very poor and now I'm suffering whereas it's their fault and I just need a vehicle ASAP.

Reviewer Update
I still have no vehicle to this date as they still want to order vehicle parts and Melissa tried to arrange that the car dealer offer me a courtesy vehicle but they refused and said that I must take insurance for a courtesy car which is absurd because insurance does not cover hired vehicles and the dealer is the one who is supposed to make sure that their vehicle is insured. I called Toyota head office regarding this issue and was informed that the dealer is supposed to inform them if the required parts will take more than 21 days to arrive and that is when I may get a courtesy car. at this rate I regret buying a Toyota because they cannot meet their client's expectations and I'm being sent from pillar to post. I should have purchased a Haval instead.
