Bad attitude, keeps messing me around, oil leaks

My next point of contact is Toyota Head Office Wasting my time. Supposed to take delivery for the second time, but engine bay dirty which was literally the first point on the checklist. Oyher quality checks not done. Original towbar I asked for missing, oil leaks but apparently I am wrong there are no oil leaks. Bellhouse looks cracked, autobox possibly u joint grease that sprayed out of there after degreasing. Leaking oil. Told me go buy my own rear mat. Broken cup holder stuffed under the seat. I expect them to high pressure and clean the oil stains then inspect properly this time and fix the issues. The finance lady left early so I could not even sign the delivery note, though I got there well before they closed as per the time I was told to be there, and I had arranged with her to be there. The person who has my service book is off on leave. **** to me on recording and gave me print outs that it has a full Toyota service history, when it has third party services. Will I ever get my car? I can provide pictures and videos of the state of the car, filthy engine bay, and the oil leaks, crack in bellhouse.

PLUS they broke my bumper, then tried to glue and tape it.

Dear Lynne,

We appreciate you reaching out with your concerns.
We acknowledge the urgency with which you needed your vehicle, and we regret the inconvenience caused during your recent visit to collect it. It’s important to note that we had previously communicated the need for final adjustments and fitments. Despite this, we attempted to expedite the process to meet your timeline.

Unfortunately, when you arrived, the vehicle still required some finishing touches. We proposed an alternative delivery date to ensure everything met our standards of excellence, but we understand this was not suitable for you.

Please be assured, we are now prioritising the completion of all outstanding issues with your vehicle. We are committed to delivering it in perfect condition within the agreed timeframe.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Best Regards,
Bidvest McCarthy Toyota

Hello Bidvest McCarthy,

It's interesting how you make my availability out to be the problem here, and that you would refer to major issues as mere "finishing touches". Your Salesman Craig was not able to produce the delivery note for me to sign, and the service book is unavailable?

Even if I wanted to sign, you could not produce the delivery note for the bank so that I could take the car so no, you are in fact the problem and once again not taking ownership for your mistakes in blaming me. You had over a week to get the car ready for me.

The truth here, is that you were not prepared but still invited me to take collection. The salesman could not give me my vehicle anyway as he was not prepared with the delivery note.

Monday was my second attempt at taking delivery of my Fortuner. Below a statement of facts, and photos attached:

1) Salesman Craig had invited me for a second attempt to take delivery of my Fortuner at 16:45 Monday. Myself and my husband arrived at your dealership before the time.
Craig told me that finance lady Fazlin leaves at 5pm, so I told Fazlin in person "see you before then". Fazlin had left already by the time that we were with Craig, and he was unable to produce the opportunity for me to take delivery and sign.
As we waited to take delivery for 30 minutes going past 5pm, Craig spent this time on the phone with Finance lady Fazlin, attempting to gain access to the relevant computer system, though was unable to anyway.

2) Even if I could sign the delivery note on Monday, there were a number of issues (not finishing touches) that were not straightened out as prior arranged. I specifically came in to sort these issues out with you earlier in the day and in communications in the week prior.

3) My physical service book is unavailable, apparently somewhere in the locked office of a person who is on leave. I was assured a full service history with Toyota and given printouts, which was a lie (on recording). There are several missing services done in-between with a third party RMI.

4) I have paid for extras to be added to the vehicle and specifically asked for the old towbar to be made available. It could not be produced. Where is it now?

5) My front bumper and the clips were damaged when fitting my bullbar, which I saw in the workshop earlier yesterday. It is no longer flush, and popping out. Upon arrival at the end of the day the bumper had glue and tape on it with a story of some seal apparently not fitting. Seals don't do that, sir. Why not just be honest that there was a problem?

6) I have placed much emphasis on your quality checklist being done properly. Yesterday, the checklist was ticked off as attached, though you don't seem to take pride in your work and should be audited.
There were several issues not even addressed and the engine bay was filthy. Did you notice that there was oil leaking under the vehicle? Well the Saleman Craig insisted that there isn't, and I am lying. My husband produced the photos as attached that were looked at by my friend at Dekra.
It is requested that you could have the decency to high pressure and clean the oil stains please, then inspect properly this time and fix the issues.
It would appear that the bellhouse is cracked, with the autobox possibly U joint has grease that sprayed out of there after degreasing.

7) My husband asked Craig where the floor rear mat is, Craig said quite plainly "you can go buy one".

8) We found the rear cup holder broken, and stuffed under the front passenger seat.

9) I had asked Craig earlier in the day (as he took me to see my car) when the cam belt and timing chain were last done. I was told that they do not need to be done for a very long time however that is not the case at all.
I believe that it's actually highly recommended to have been done again at 150,000km and the vehicle is already at 246,106km and 12 years old with the next service date having come and gone last week.

10) I asked when was the last time that the injectors were replaced, as this is a major issue with these vehicles. Craig was informed that they had probably been cleaned at some point, though I have not seen this on the system yet.

11) Last but not least, the vehicle was not inspected properly as charmingly I was able to pull out 12 gauge shotgun shells from the rear cupholder of the vehicle. My hat off to my fellow hunter who owned the vehicle prior to myself.
Please be so kind as to check the goodies in the rear boot compartment on the left hand side that contains SAFETY EQUIPMENT. It looks to never have been opened prior to yesterday.

Upon attempting to discuss these matters with Craig, Craig seemed to derive much enjoyment from our frustration with a smirk on his face. He had an excuse for every concern. No accountability was taken.
