Stay away from Bidvest Tyre and Rim Insurance (Tyre Angel)

I took out Bidvest Tyre and Rim Insurance (Tyre Angel) in April 2024. The policy was sold to me with the understanding that it would cover damage to both tyres and rims, including scratches and structural damage. However, now that I wanted to claim, I have now been informed that: • I cannot claim for scratches on rims, and • I cannot claim for a bent rim unless there is accompanying tyre damage

This is both misleading and unacceptable. The communication with regard to this claim was also horrific. No proper feedback from the claims department and if you get feedback, it is one-liners on an email. I had to phone for feedback after 2 weeks of no feedback and then was told (over the phone) that my claim has been rejected. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY - YOU ARE WASTING YOUR MONEY (They find excuses to not pay for claims)
