My experience with my claim

I submitted my claim first week of December and it was only paid out today 30th Dec, the consultant that was assisting me was great! The only complaint I have about Bidvest Tyre insurance is that it is misleading. When I signed up I was told when my tyre is damaged due to road hazard they will replace it, I just have to go to a tyre shop for assessment and take pics and send to claims. First of all if I didn’t call a hundred times and email to follow up I would not have received feedback. The 48hour lead time for response didn’t apply to me. 5 days lead time for investigation was also not honoured. Lastly only when the claim is approved they told me they will pay 10% of the amount, what am I going to do with R200? For tyre ? My premium is R179 pm I could have done better by myself if I saved up that premium for 14 months. I was sold a story/dream by Bidvest Angel tyre/ Tyre rim. I can’t recommend anyone to take this insurance.
