Is Bidvest Tyre-guard refusing to pay out two tyres )

I’m absolutely shocked and frustrated with the terrible experience I’m having with Bidvest, especially since I’ve always known them to be reliable. I put in a claim for two tyres—something that previously would have been approved within 24 hours. It’s now been over a week, and I can’t help but feel they’re dragging their feet just because this time it’s for two tyres instead of one.

1. First, they claimed the images I sent were blurry, which they weren’t, but I resent them using different email apps anyway. 2. Then, they said the blurry issue was resolved, but now they needed the tyre tread. I went out of my way to visit TyreMart for the second fime, where they showed me how to do it properly, and I resent it. 3. Next, they said the gauge wasn’t clear. I explained to them exactly how it reads. They got it. 4. After that, they asked if the tyre had a bubble. I had already explained that it does, it hit a pothole, and air is leaking out. My car’s indicator even shows that, which is why I’m making the claim! 5. Now they’ve asked—again—if the tyre has a bubble. How many times do I need to answer this? 6. To top it off, they want me to go back to the tyre place for the third time!

Why does it seem like Bidvest is trying to avoid paying just because it’s two tyres this time?

This is beyond frustrating!

Hi there, it became stranger and more disheartening after this interaction.

On the 9th, I responded to an email asking if my tire had a “bubble,” to which I rep****:

“The second tire has pothole damage with an air bubble. I pump it up, but it quickly deflates, and the car notifies me of the loss of pressure.”

This response clearly describes a leak, but because I didn’t explicitly use the word “leak,” my claim was rejected, as Bidvest insists my tire has a “bubble.”

This is strange because I specifically went to TyreMart due to the loss of air pressure in that wheel. That’s exactly what I explained in my email, and it’s what TyreMart identified as the issue—an “air” bubble causing a loss of pressure, meaning air is escaping. This is a leak, not just a bump on the tire.

I’m surprised because I’ve never had bad service from Bidvest before—this is strange.

Why did Bidvest focus solely on the word “bubble” and ignore the rest of my explanation?

It’s an “air” bubble causing “pressure loss,” and the tire “deflates.”

English isn’t my first language, but I believe I clearly explained a leak.

I’ve sent a video of the tire air bubble test (leak) and am waiting to see what other issue may arise.
