insurance claim

<p>There was a small stonechip on my windscreen. I was involved in a vehcile accident and my windscreen cracked due to impact of the accident,</p> <p>Now Bidvest insurance wants me to pay 50% of the windscreen, which is R2000 plus, but my excess if i claimed the windscreen separately is R500. </p> <p>This is unexceptable. the windscreen only had a stone chip and it cracked due to the inpact of the accident. Which is one incident not two separate incidents.</p> <p>The stone chip on the windscreen was so small and i would have never claimed from the insurance to replace it. But becuase it cracked after the accident it needed to be replaced. According to them they call it betterment but me working for insurance betterment comes when tyres are replaced, not windscreens.</p> <p>Bidvest insurance is an insurance company - if you have a stone chip on your windscreen - and due to an unforseen event and your windscreen crack and have previous stone chips on it, they charge you 50% of the cost.</p> <p> </p>
