FMI Policy

FMI - now part of Bidvest Insurance Group, has rejected my retrechment benefit. Their letter to me states I was a 'Contract Worker' - please define a 'Contract Worker'? I was a permanently [indefinite] employed employee as my Union Solidarity has confirmed by viewing my Contract and my ex-employer has confirmed. FMI just decides to cancel my policy and pay back my premiums. Be advised - FMI is in breach of Contract. I was employed by a Labour Broker full time and my services were offered to a Firm where I consulted in costing. I have taken this further and a labour lawyer is involved. Be advised FMI now part of Bidvest - you do not treat people this way! You entered into an agreement with myself where I paid my premiuns for 12 months-I cannot help the fact I was retrenched, oh yes by the way I was retrenched! And paid two weeks for two years worked plus my leave pay! How is that possible if FMI states I am a 'Contract Worker' which is not defined! FMI resolve this ASAP. You are to pay my benefits as of March 2017.
