Do not do business with Bidvest Insurance

I took out Bidvest tyre insurance, was told if my tyres get damaged from potholes it will be covered 4 R1000 at R69 a month. Then I was up sold to the R2000 cover per tyre for R89. Today I logged a claim because of hitting a huge pothole during a storm. I sustained damage to both my front tyres side wall. Bidvest made me drive 20km to a Tyre mart for a quote and a tyre tread. With no regard for my life with how damaged the tyre was and then 20km back. Only to find out the tyres are only covered 4 a percentage of wear. The cost I have to cover myself is the cost of 1 new tyre. They wasted my time and petrol and put my life in danger. Now on the phone. I asked for a full refund because this was not what was sold to me and I must hear that there company policy is no refunds. The petrol I drove out was more than 1 month installment. My time from work per hour is more than 1 month cover. That being said, this is the biggest waste of someone's time. They selling something they not prepared to honor. I strongly advise anybody not to sign up with this company they rob people out of their hard earned money
