Please don't be a victim of Bidvest Insurance's Scratch & Dent R99 pm cover like i have been? Rather pay that 100 bucks into a savings account for a rainy day.

Claims assessors will ask you the stupidest questions and will tell you anything to avoid paying on a claim.

Claims Assessor: the body shop did not include the "rand hand side mirror" on the quote. Quote: Respray L/R mirrors... ME: almost fell of my chair laughing

Moral of the story... this is a money making scheme with a host of explanations/clauses/reasons to NOT honor any claims:

- Sorry we require a quote from a body shop that is registered with a "scratch & dent" organisation (note that these so called "registered" body shops will require a kidney to fix a scratch as big as a hair) - The pictures you submitted is not in jpeg format. (after submitting the pictures as per the claim form requirements - and guess what? nowhere in any of the wording/requirements is the word "jpeg" mentioned) - Sorry you used font "Times New Roman" instead of "Calibri" on your claim form hahahahaha :):)

ANYTHING TO NOT HONOR A CLAIM.

Next step is to lodge a complaint with the insurance ombudsman as well as the consumer protector. I'm sure there are lots of people out there that gets ****** of their hard earned R99 every month.
