WORST CAR RENTAL SERVICE EVER!!!!

We rented a vehicle for the weekend in December 2020 as we went to a camp , unfortunately on the way back the Vw Kombi was hit by a speeding vehicle on the right front fender which caused damage to the tyre and this resulted in the car not being able to drive -

We then called Bidvest which took 2hours to assist us, sending us from pillar to post and finally we got through to a lady named Lebo (Stand to be corrected) and then she assisted with the tow truck to come and collect the vehicle she also promised that we will get a courtesy vehicle as we had children in that Kombi and now we all stranded outside of Bela Bela. We still needed to travel 2 hours back to Jhb. At the end Bidvest turned around and said they can not help with sending out a courtesy vehicle so that we can be transported home - so we made an alternative plan and had to fork out nearly R4000 to get our private transport so that we can get back home - after all of this and lies from Bidvest they still want us to pay an excess of R7000 after leaving us stranded and not making an plan for another Kombi. In the contract they provide a recovery vehicle incase of emergencies but not this time round

Highly disappointed and now after reading there reviews on Hello Peter it controls the bad service of Bidvest car rental

Can we please have higher management call us and balance this situation out for us - as we refuse to pay this excess after arranging our own transport home.
