Traffic Fine - I almost ended up in Jail

The sort version of my complaint is as follow.<br> <br> While renting a car from Budget last year (July 2014) I exceeded the speed limit and received a traffic fine. This I only unfortunately found out last weekend when I was pulled over by the Metro Police at a road block.<br> <br> After spending 2 hours of trying to explain that it was not my vehicle and doing my best to stay out of jail I was let go.<br> <br> There after I made an enquiry to Budget on the traffic fine. I was informed that Budget deducted R250 from my account last year as a traffic fine admin fee. But up to now I don't know why I paid it as I was never informed about the fine to pay it on time.<br> <br> So you are very quick to deduct admin fees from a customer's credit card but not so good at making sure that the customer actually gets the info that will allow them to pay.<br> <br> Thanks for making me miss a wedding and spending 2 hours with the traffic police.<br> <br> I was a loyal customer but you won't see me again.<br> <br> Tiaan Botha <div><br></div><div><em>(Supplier name changed from Budget Rent A Car to Bidvest Car Rental by Hellopeter.com)</em></div>
