Held liable for existing damage
I am utterly appalled by Bidvest car rental Port Elizabeth branch by holding me liable for the replacement cost of a windscreen. Prior to me renting the vehicle I pointed out multiple chip marks on the windscreen to Que the rental agent who I inspected the vehicle with. One of the chips spread and became a crack and they deducted the full cost from my deposit. I regret having rented a vehicle from Bid vest car rental and would strongly discourage anyone from renting a vehicle from them. The personal liability on the driver is also extremely high in the event of a collision, the exact amount is R20000!! I tried without success to contact the managing director Paulette McGhee. Bidvest Car rental worst car rental company!!!!
