Disgusted with customer service from Emirates and Bidvest
Three of my bags were damaged on one of the Emirates flight. I then dropped off my damaged bags at Bidvest OR Tambo on 5 January 2019. To date I have not received my bags. I have tried contacting Bidvest with no one ever answering the phones there. On the one occassion, a lady by the name of Matsogo answered promising to contact their baggage supplier and getting back to me. This was almost week ago. To date she has not returned my calls. To compound my disgust, I have contacted the Emirates call centre numerous times. I spoke to a multitude of people, namely, Lina, Rachel, Sydney, and so many more people. My call was also escalated to a supervisor who never called me bac****
Apparently, the luggage supplier, Louie Dettner Luggage, was also no help. According to them, their suppliers were on leave which is why they were unable to procure my bags. Do they only deal with one supplier???? And if not, do all their suppliers not work for the month of January??? I also specified to whomever i spoke to that I am travelling at the end of January and that I needed my bags urgently. But NO ONE was willing to help.
Why should I be following up on this all the time? It is costing me my money and time. Surely Emirates should be communicating with Bidvest to get this sorted out? And what is my next resort?
Why does it have to be so difficult to get good customer service these days!!!!!
