Charges not indicated on contract and yet I’m liable for

Bidvest charged me a one way drop off fee that was not stated on my contract. The rental assistant was advised that I would drop it off else where and they never it on their contract, therefore the amount was not indicated. Had I had known if the amount I would have returned the car back to the pick up point.

I called the Manager for the KMI branch to advise him what had happened. He told me he would check the contract and call me back. He never did, all I received was an invoice including the one way fee. So in actual fact my complaint is being disregarded and I should just go ahead and pay the once off fee, which is way more than the rental itself.

If the rental assistant knew of the charges 1. He didn’t inform me 2. Didn’t indicate the changes on the contact so that the charge can be seen and acknowledged

I honestly don’t understand how this is my problem and I should pay the R1500 that was not indicated on the contract I signed. And when I asked why he didn’t change the drop off zone. He advised he made a note on the system.

I’m really disappointed at the fact that this was raised with the manager and they just continued to disregard everything and not even caring to get back to me as the manager had indicated.
