Bogus refueling charge by Bidvest Car Hire
<p>Like so many other people, I was charged for refueling a Bidvest rental car that was FULLY refueled within 2 km of Cape Town International Airport. I supervised the refueling to the point of overflow and no more air escaping from the tank. The vehicle was not inspected in my presence on returning it, because the attendant had to move on to the next vehicles being returned. I guess I was fortunate to not be charged for previous damages on top of the refueling charge. This was my first and last rental with Bidvest.</p>
We do find your post a little confusing as you were not charged for fuel. A copy of your invoice has been mailed to you and you will note that you were billed the R80.00 contract fee which is clearly indicated on the quotation you would have received from Rentalcars.com, as well as signed for on collection of the vehicle.
