Bidvest car rental not to be trusted

We booked our rental through an agent and took out insurance so we would not have to pay anything on arrival. However on arrival we were asked to pay a R23000 deposit for the car. After a long time of arguing and phone callls to ever business that was closed we ended taking another car for a lower deposit and double the rate we were supposed to pay we rented a car for 5 days as our arrival coincided with a long weekend. On returning the car we wanted to be done with this company so we handed over another credit card to make the full payment which they gladly took only to charge the original card they had taken the deposit with the same amount so not only did we pay double the daily rate but we were charged double for the rental. We have been fighting for 5 weeks to get our money back and we leave in 2 days and still no resolution. I have made countless calls to my bank and was told that they need to reverse the payment however the totals don’t match due to currency exchange rates. I would not recommend this company and will never use them myself again.
