Bad Custormer service Claims Department
On the 23 November 2013 one of Budget rent a car / Bidvest Car Rental vehicles collided with me on de Vaal Drive Cape Town. I was riding my motor cycle when this happened. my motor cycle was badly damaged less to say the physical injuries I sustained due to the collation. I was in hospital for month. a few days later while I was in hospital I made contact with them regarding the repairs to my bike. I was then referred to Yeshni at their claims department which she referred me to Wendille Naaido. he the referred the matter to Luyanda Solani at DIGI CALL RECOVERY SOLUTIONS. Since then, I'm trying to get the matter resolved and settled since then, as their client stated in his police report that he was at fault to make a U-turn to the right on that road from the left lane as I was just driving next to him in the right lane. Its five months later my bike is still standing as damaged and I have no joy in dealing with them. Luyanda is telling me the same thing for the past week and a half he need to authorise it with his manager and still haven't heard from him. Bad Service from such a major Company.
We clearly understand your frustration and sincerely regret any personal pain and loss you have suffered.
Unfortunately the world of insurance which we are not in, is a complex industry and we are reliant on our customer for co-operation when dealing with a 3rd Party claim, at no cost to them and it appears that matters are complicated as our customer resides overseas.
We have a moral obligation to each and every third party claimant to ensure we judge the merits of their claim and in a perfect world, would settle all claims immediately from a Customer Service point of view. Financially however we clearly cannot and Digicall have given us their assurance that the matter is top priority with our Claims Team remaining close. We are confident that you will receive feedback as soon as you have submitted all the documents required and we have received a response from our customer.
The delay is unfortunately inevitable and we do most sincerely apologise for the trauma and overall inconvenience caused by this incident.
Kind regards,
