Bi-comm Electronics (Bad None repair and no feedback.)
I personly handed my amateur radio Icom 745 in for repairs at Bi-comm Electronics(Benoni). The first few words I was greeted with was "I am going to charge you R400 for every faulty transistor I have to replace".That was in beginning March 2023.Well I thought in for a penny in for a pound"" They sent me a quote and stated what was needed to repair via W/app (a quote for repairs R1745-00) and I paid it fully (in fact I paid more.) every few months I tried via W/app tried to find out a couple of times how they are progressing with the reparirs .I had absolutley no response from them.Their thought would probably have been"we have his money and the radio so lets not bother" I will not be surprised if they are unable to repair and only be interested in money and not have the gutts to admit it. My thought are"we have his money AND radio so let him swing". My thought of taking them to small claims court will be successful but out of spite my radio will be damaged further inside by crossing wires etc. and returning my radio and money(court decision). I will then be stuck with a radio damaged beyond repair which I think is a BIG possibility.I requested another radio ham operator to intervene on my behalf and he got answers such as "more quotes more repairs more payments". Is this going to be: Quote/pay ..quote pay....quote pay....let us milk him and let him swing. I am a pensioner and money does not come easy and I can not afford to travel to Benoni fro Alberton a few times. We are now in October and NOTHING HEARD from them.
