DEBT COLLECTING ****

Sent me an SMS to advise my standard bank credit card has been handed over. I therefore sent the below email and will see if there is a response.

Perhaps my email will assist others whom may use it

Dear Sirs

To note that I received a sms from you 0937 hours 21 October 2023 advising that my Standard Bank Credit Card account has been handed over for collections.

Now therefore you are requested to supply the following information to myself and those in copy within 5 days hereof.

When did the alleged debt occur The amount of the alleged debt incurred The account holder and account number of this debt The relevant notices and statements that I was sent from Standard Bank advising of the alleged debt. Recordings of all calls that Standard Bank made to myself to discuss the matter of the alleged debt prior handing over to yourselves. Proof of receipt of such statements and letters sent by Standard Bank to myself in their attempt to recoup the alleged debt. which is also required before handing over any and all debt collections. In addition to this I hereby demand the following:

An apology from you in writing for falsely accusing myself of being indebted to Standard Bank An apology from Standard Bank for having handed me over with an alleged debt, on my credit card which neither party has proven by means of communications. I look forward to your response on all of the above because it is extremely clear and obvious that neither you nor Standard Bank did any due diligence and or homework on my Standard Bank Credit card as I have maintained a credit balance for close to 5 years now at each and every month end statement run on about the 18th of each month.

To Adv ****** in copy - should this matter not be responded to with 5 days you are hereby instructed to take any action required to clear my name and to lay a complaint against the applicants attorneys for having engaged in this rash action without investigation and or having followed correct procedures in attempting to contact myself in a professional manner.
