Poor services, lack of clear explanation of transfer process to seller

<p>This is the first time I encountered such poor services from a law firm in dealing with transfers (house sale).</p> <p> </p> <p>I had to chase the conveyancer who I dealt with via email, Karen Jansen, around 3 times to get a response on the status of the process and on the refund. They don't see it as important to keep the seller updated with what is going on nor respond to queries and request for updates. I had to chase here a few times to know what was going on!</p> <p> </p> <p>The conveyancer who I met in July to sign off the Consent form (shifting of bond account to new owner i.e. ex-co owner), didn't bother to explain to me what this form was all about until I asked! And he still didn't bother to explain in full and clearly what is is about and failed to state that if any refunds were to be paid over to the owner if I signed that form. I was under the impression that this form was merely for administrative purposes.</p> <p>What BVZ is saying now is that that conveyancer, if I am not mistaken goes by the name Johnnie Louw, said he explained in full what the form was all about. If he said that the refund upon the closing of the old bond account were to be paid in full to the new owner, then I would have NOT signed the form!</p> <p> </p> <p>BVZ is appointed and approved by FNB.</p> <p> </p> <p>BVZ is currently being reported to the law governing body in Gauteng.</p>
