Concerned Employees

<p>A group of us were hired by the so mentioned company to work as hostesses for the SAMA Awards in Durban on the 4th of June 2016. </p> <p> </p> <p>It has been over 40 days now and no payment has been made yet the contract clearly stipulates that payments are made after 30 days.</p> <p> </p> <p>The main problem though is the manner that the owners of the mentioned company dealt with this hiccup / glitch. Firstly no communique was sent to us as the employees and when we started to enquire about our salaries, Collen Ngcobo, the co-owner of the company removed us from the WhatsApp group. </p> <p> </p> <p>His partner, Joy, does not answer her phone and doesn't reply to our messages. They claim that the organisers of the SAMAs have not paid them yet. And so we as a collective suggested he pay from his own pocket since he boasts about pocketing R100K a month on Facebook, he dismissed us. </p> <p> </p> <p>Their head offices are in Johannesburg and we are in Durban. </p>
