Full payment for a 47,000-word book was made to BEYOND THE VALE - SELF PUBLISHING. After 5 weeks of editing the first round, I followed up since I wanted the book published within 3,5 months. I was then told that the editor was 75% complete. After another week, I received the book back, and the “professional editing” was completed in about 40 hours, according to the DATE-TIME-STAMP of the Tracker comments. The first round of editing only started after I was told that 75% was already completed. The 40 hours of editing were completed in two days, the first day of editing was done in about 16 hours, and the second day was done in a 24-hour, through-the-night marathon. This must be a world first for “professional editing” – a 47,000-word book edited within 40 hours. Only with the assistance of “Consumer Goods and Services Ombud” (aka “www.cgso.org.za”) did I receive the full refund of the blotched book. However, BEYOND THE VALE - SELF PUBLISHING failed to provide me with an apology and explanation for their conduct.
