Mercury Wine Show

We went and spent a really stunning evening at the Mercury wine show last night, Thursday 27th August 2015. After trying a few of the wines we decided at the end of the show that we would like to buy a case or two of the Beyerskloof Cabernet Sauv / Merlot, so we went back to the table. The polite young guy who had sold us the idea that it would be the best wine to buy, got us to try it again just to make sure that we were definitely happy with that and not the Pinotage. The next minute a lady from the stand snatched the bottle from our hands whilst we were reading the label, pushed the bottles to the back and told us that the stand was closed. When we said we wanted to buy a case we were told again, this stand is closed. It was 845pm and there was still a queue paying for their cases. She literally chased us out and told us that we could not buy.<br> This seems to be the standard customer service where people just don't go that extra mile anymore, it is too much of an effort. So sad that after a lovely evening were treated with such disrespect and you even lost a sale.
