Disappointed

So here is my story:<br> On the week of the 26th of October, I call Betterbonds to get a prequalification certificate for a home loan.<br> I was helped by a wonderful gentleman on the phone, who told me to send through my proof of address, 3 months bank statement, and ID copies as well as payslips.<br> I sent them through on the 31st of October. In less than a week, I get my prequalification certificate.<br> All was going well up until I started getting enquiries from RCS, Cell C and Mr Price on my credit report. Yes, someone was trying to open ********** accounts in my name. The only place I sent my personal information to was Betterbonds. The consultant was in Johannesburg and I am in PE btw.<br> I called Betterbonds to ask what they did with my personal information and spoke to one of the team leaders who then told me that they shred people's personal information. Please explain to me how you shred people's personal documents when they are sent via email? PLEASE! I had to go open a case at the police and was trying to get hold of the ***** department at Betterbonds hence speaking to the team leader. I really don't believe something like this could happen. Can someone please investigate my details.
