Rejected Claim

case number is ***1 no feedback from better from 11 April 2025

Re: claim reference number is BSH***6. was rejected is a result of wear and tear, as the door shows cracks and mold.2. The damage appears to have developed gradually, and the lack of maintenance worsened the condition when the rain occurred

Hi Siphesihle, Debbie, Sylvia, Wille, Zanele

Claim logged on 11 Mar is not resolved for Patio Door and Rood leak Accessor came out and deemed this wear and tear

From January to March 2025, Midrand experienced varying rainfall levels, with some months seeing significant precipitation High rainfall during March has contribute to issues like water damage the wooden doors, and roof leak.

1. Patio doors were sealed and maintained 6 months ago when the wood was sealed. However, the doors have now warped, swollen and there are cracks in the wood, there are no mold. Wooden patio door swells due to water absorption. When wood absorbs moisture, it swells. This is what causes many wooden doors to become stuck in their frames when the humidity levels rise. when we try open the doors, pieces of wood fall off I've asked the contractor to take video of the rainfall on the door when he inspected the door- was this video shared?

2. A roof leak causing damage to ceiling boards leading to serious structural and aesthetic issues

Should this claim not be resolved by this Friday 12th April. let me then address this further with Hello Peter

Please find below the March 2025 Historical weather data in Midrand:
