Insurance claim

I was called by one of the Consultant from better life offering me the insurance sometime last year around August last year 2019, was told that documents will be sent to me so that the policy can start immediately on the debit date. I dont remember signing any documents with them but they started debuting me and when I asked I was advised that so that should anything happen since you have signed with the lawyers so that you can be able to claim where we can pay for you. Then I again called in the month of February to cancel my insurance with them the sales Consultant by the name of Kenaan retained me told me that they are better than the bank coz then he advised me to cancel the insurance with the bank which I didn't but still continued with both them and the bank. Now I lost my job they telling me that i have to wait for the month of August that the only time they will start to pay my bond. Can someone tell me what kind of service is this? I want to be assisted and I want the call recording because o was even open to them by telling them that I have an insurance with the bank that financed me.
